Adaptation Music’s Tom Conrad returns to the label with the long awaited ‘Frankie’s Song’ following on from his last successful outing, ‘New York EP’ earlier in the year.

The song title is an ode to one of Tom’s biggest musical influences Frankie Knuckles, whose versatility and warmth of sound throughout his productions inspired this track. Tried and tested at numerous venues over the last year, ‘Frankie’s Song’ is a melodic beauty which comprises lush chords, infectious leads and a sound somewhere between New York and Ibiza.

Watch out for several more EPs and singles over the coming months from Tom on Adaptation Music and several other labels as he continues to establish himself with his consistency and progression within the realms of deep and jackin underground house music.

Smitty & Davenport return to to the label with their second EP entitled ‘Urban Underground EP’ following on from the successful ‘Rebirth EP’ late last year. DJ support from Arturo Garces, Jay-J, Robert Owens, Vinny Da Vinci & more.

The uniquely titled ‘Ummhmm’ kicks off the EP, a serious deep jackin house track reminiscent of the timeless early Classic Music and Tyrant sound of the mid 2000s. Next up is ‘Mad Bass’, once again another serious deep number with a retro late night vibe that chugs along nicely. Last but not least is funky and melodic ‘Street Beat’, completing another fine EP from the Californian duo.

Smitty & Davenport are no strangers to the scene, recently launching their own imprint ‘Mindloop Music’ after having been producing, remixing and releasing music for over 20 years on labels such as Guesthouse, EMI, Geisha Music, Doubledown and Jamayka with their music supported by the likes of Mark Farina, DJ Heather, Ben Watt and many more.

Adaptation Music welcomes Californian duo Smitty & Davenport to the label, with the first of two great deep house EPs, this one entitled ‘Rebirth EP’.

Kicking off the EP is the fantastic ‘Find Your Way’ which features the sublime atmospheric vocals of Kandace whom Smitty & Davenport have worked with many times before. It’s the perfect intro track for a late night deep house set with its building, atmospheric and slightly haunting feel. Next up is the brilliant dreamy and melodic journey that is ‘You’re Never Alone’ followed by the serious and European deep tech vibes of ‘Deep Under’. This EP is a great return to the scene for the west coast duo and one not to be missed.

Adaptation Music’s Tom Conrad delivers his latest two tracker entitled ‘Dawn Rising EP’ which once again shows his versatility and ability to avoid being predictable or typecast when producing house music. It follows on from his previous project on the label, ‘Variations EP’.

The EP kicks off with the funky jackin house sounds of ‘Shadow Lady’ complete with captivating chords, guitar riff and bassline which you can’t help but move to. Its shifting balance of uplifting and serious tones throughout work well together and are guaranteed to work any discerning dancefloor. The second track on the EP, ‘Chasing The Light’ has a crossover sound for both deep house and jackin house DJs alike and evokes thoughts of the sun rising after a long night spent with fellow revellers within the surrounds of serious house music.

This release is yet another strong EP from Tom Conrad on Adaptation Music in 2018 so watch this space as Tom continues to show his consistency and progression within the realms of deep and jackin underground house music.
