Adaptation Music’s Tom Conrad kicks off 2019 with a great new two tracker entitled ‘Streetlife EP’ which once again shows his versatility and ability to avoid being predictable or typecast when producing house music. It follows on from his previous project on the label, ‘Dawn Rising EP’.

The EP opens up with the sublime ‘Street Boogie’, a classy jackin house track that would also appeal to disco, funk and soul fans due to its multitude of intelligent crossover sounds and warm feel. Certainly one of Tom’s greatest works to date. The ‘B Side’ of the release is the long awaited ‘Fading Lights’ which also has a huge crossover appeal. Whilst primarily being a deep/jackin house track, it has embedded influences of soul, funk and disco and an overall very warm, emotional and atmospheric vibe.

After a strong 2018, Tom kicks off the new year in style and is the first of many releases in the pipeline for the months ahead. Tom continues to establish himself with his consistency and progression within the realms of deep and jackin underground house music, so look out for much more from him in the coming year.

Adaptation Music’s Tom Conrad’s latest EP showcases his versatility with the aptly titled ‘Variations EP’ following on from his recent ‘Summer Of 92 EP’ and release on U.S imprint King Street Sounds.

First on the EP is ‘Night Turn Ahead’, a deep late night groove which is guaranteed to be a surefire hit with deep house fans and DJs alike due to its old school New York feel with infectious chords, tight percussion and neat synth work. On a totally different tip is the by no means ‘just a B side’ Balearic tinged track ‘When Love Was Real’ which combines garage style beats with soulful chords, old school synth sounds and an overall very catchy vibe. Is it Jackin House or Soulful House? You decide.

This release is yet another strong EP from Tom Conrad on Adaptation in 2018 so watch this space as Tom continues to show his consistency and progression within the realms of deep and jackin underground house music.

Rotterdam based producer El Funkador has been releasing consistent jackin house for over 5 years now and was recently was signed to DJ Sneak’s Magnetic Recordings imprint. A combination of tight retro garage beats, deep funky basslines and heavy jazz and funk influences have become his trademark sound and made his tracks a popular choice for numerous DJs within the jackin house scene.

The EP opens with the superb and infectious ‘What You Want’ with its lush vocals, beautiful classy jazz keys and hook that you wish didn’t have to end! this track is most suited for the early part of the night/DJ set and ideal for any beach/pool party scenario. Next up on the EP is ‘Can’t Hold Me Down’ which also has a catchy jazzy hook but takes on a different vibe with its deeper late night vibes, yet is certainly equal in quality.
