The landmark 150th release on Adaptation Music comes from Tom Conrad alongside the superb vocal talents of Chicago’s Carla Prather.
The original vocal mix is a sublime blend of soulful house and nu disco, combining lush keys, an infectious guitar hook and lovely live bass action with a brilliant vocal from Carla Prather. Tom backs this up with a deep and atmospheric old school fusion of deep house and garage with his ‘Garage Dub’, giving the track a completely alternative but equally classy direction.
Tom and Carla last combined a decade ago with the track ‘Shine’ and this new project marks the first time Tom has created a full vocal project since then, having explored multiple other avenues of production and genres in the meantime.

Adaptation Music’s 146th release is a fantastic two tracker from Tom Conrad entitled ‘Travelling EP’.
Kicking off proceedings is the superb ‘Volcasm’, which is a fusion of garage and old school deep house with one hell of a solid bassline, sublime atmospheric chords and a jazzy West Coast interlude that drops in before going back into some serious old school vibes. The ‘B Side’ is the brilliant ‘Mini Nova’ which is a deep and hypnotic groove which Tom created after being influenced by several gigs/parties in Prague in mid 2023.
Toms latest track, also Prague influenced and signed to the fantastic Pogo House label is entitled ‘Zizkov Nights’ and reached the top 10 in the Garage section here on Traxsource. Tom continues to release under several successful aliases, with almost 20 tracks released so far this year.

Opening the EP is the deep and heavily Detroit influenced ‘Expressions’ with infectious chord stabs, old school strings and strong vocals, with the track having an overall Kerri Chandler-esque feel. Next in line is ‘The Vibes’ with its lush melodies interlaced with hypnotic deep chords – it has serious old school deep house vibes written all over it! Last but not least is the deeper and rhythmic late night afro-latin vibes of ‘Andalusia’ to complete a fantastic well rounded EP from the duo.
Label owner Tom is having another busy year maintaining 4 aliases with forthcoming releases on Pogo House and several more on Adaptation Music and Cosmic Elements, having recently reached #11 top download on U.S site Traxsource. Opening the EP is the brilliant ‘Haunting Me’ with its lush atmospheric chords, 90s garage bass line and classy chord stabs and keys, accompanied by an infectious vocal, which a lot of people may find apt regarding today’s society. Deep house and garage fusion at its finest. Next up is the Detroit style ‘Endless’ with a Kerri Chandler-esque groove that breaks into lush 90s piano stabs half way through before returning to the hypnotic deep tech groove. Last but not least is the dreamy and atmospheric ‘Think Of You’ with soft vocal, beautiful keys and strings that lead into some serious garage chord stabs at the midway point.
