The 116th release on Adaptation Music sees the combination of two of the label’s top in-house artists, Tom Conrad & Yan Gordo who deliver a fusion of deep house, deep tech, progressive house and the Balearic sound in the form of ‘Balearic Skies’ which is remixed by the brilliant Forteba, who we are very proud to finally have on the label.

One of Tom’s favourite producers of the last decade, Forteba, produces a sublime atmospheric and hypnotic deep house rework in his signature style with a classy bass line which builds throughout and leaves you wanting more. Certainly not one to miss! Tom & Yan’s original version is a sophisticated peak time multi layered fusion of atmospheric pads, chords, bass lines with a cross genre appeal from anyone into deep house, progressive house, deep tech and believe it or not both mixes would also work in a laidback Cafe Del Mar-esque setting.

Hungarian producer Forteba has been producing a mix of dreamy and driving German inspired deep house music since his late teenage years and has been a mainstay on the likes of the mighty Plastic City and numerous other labels, whilst also recording under various other aliases in different genres in his own right and alongside his close producer friends.

Release #115 on Adaptation Music sees the return of Tom Conrad with a new EP, this one a deep and thought provoking two tracker entitled ‘The Spirit Guide EP’.

Influenced by the early Detroit sound along with Chicago heavyweights such as Larry Heard and Glenn Underground, Tom wanted to create something deep and meaningful, some deep house with soul to express some feelings of recent times and came up with ‘The Spirit Guide EP’. Opening the EP is ‘Absolution’, a piano led affair with experimental raw beats, sweeping pads and strings, infectious stabs and a classic bass line to match. The message behind these tracks is one very personal to Tom on his spiritual journey and leads on to the ‘B Side’ track ‘Ascendance’. An even deeper track with very similar influences to the first, this one has hypnotic elements of early techno fused with deep atmospheric house complete with a huge sub bass line and builds up into uplifting Detroit style sweeping chords, with an overall ‘warehouse’ feel to it. If ever you wanted to know what deep house is, this is it right here..

Adaptation Music welcomes back South Africa’s Raheem Madee with another fine deep old school house EP entitled ‘After Dark EP’ which includes two great remixes by Orlando B.

Raheem Madee continues where he left off from his last release on Adaptation Music, ‘New Dawn EP’, with two lush ethereal old school deep house tracks in the form of ‘Dark Matter’ and ‘Ghost On Meth’ which combine to make ‘After Dark EP’. First track ‘Dark Matter’ is anything but dark, with a classic old school bassline accompanied by lush keys and pads creating a very reflective and captivating vibe – and what a track it is! Completing the EP is ‘Ghost On Meth’, which is deep and atmospheric and sure to be popular with the true deep house heads.

Scottish producer Orlando B brings his Glasgow vs Detroit sound to the label, a sound synonymous with the mighty Soma Recordings and Glasgow Underground, by remixing both of the tracks on the EP. His remix of ‘Dark Matter which opens the EP takes you straight back to 1991, nothing quite defines the term ‘classic old school house’ as this, it’s beautiful stuff! More Detroit themes ensue on Orlando’s remix of ‘Ghost On Meth’ with sweeping chords, lush keys and an overall hypnotic and atmospheric feel.
