Adaptation’s 158th release is the fifth EP on the label from Caliorange, this one being entitled ‘Diversion EP’ and follows on from the success of their last single ‘Flying’.
Two fine cuts of garage and deep house, ‘Diversion EP’ starts off with ‘Tell Me Not To’, which is a deep and driving affair with an infectious 90s bassline, sweeping atmospheric chords which change throughout and a catchy vocal with a poignant message. The next track ‘Alternate Route’ is a deep, moody and atmospheric journey with hints of classic old school Detroit vibes and one for any discerning deep house head out there.

The landmark 150th release on Adaptation Music comes from Tom Conrad alongside the superb vocal talents of Chicago’s Carla Prather.
The original vocal mix is a sublime blend of soulful house and nu disco, combining lush keys, an infectious guitar hook and lovely live bass action with a brilliant vocal from Carla Prather. Tom backs this up with a deep and atmospheric old school fusion of deep house and garage with his ‘Garage Dub’, giving the track a completely alternative but equally classy direction.
Tom and Carla last combined a decade ago with the track ‘Shine’ and this new project marks the first time Tom has created a full vocal project since then, having explored multiple other avenues of production and genres in the meantime.
