Adaptation Music’s 129th release is a deep, Detroit/Chicago inspired house track from Tom Conrad entitled ‘Memories Of You’.

The track begins with some deep Detroit chords leading into a Chicago inspired bass line leading into a beautiful early 90s piano solo layered with atmospheric synth sounds. Arguably one of Tom’s finest deep house tracks to date but we’ll let you be the judge.

This release is a follow up to both ‘Spirit Molecule’ and Tom’s remix of El Funkador & Lee Wilson’s ‘Give Me’ which is already his most played track ever on Spotify to date. Expect several more tracks and remixes from Tom over the coming months under his own name and his three current aliases.

Thylacinus returns to Cosmic Elements with his second solo EP which is a smooth jazz and funk inspired three tracker including two west coast hip hop gems, entitled ‘Perceptions EP’.

The opening track ‘Open Your Mind And Realise’ is a warm, soul inspired, thought provoking groove with funk laden beats and leads you into a place that you don’t want to leave; it certainly gets across the message of the EP title. Next up is the hard hitting ‘They Respect Nothing’ which takes you right back to mid 80s L.A with its funk layered infectious late night vibes. Closing the EP is ‘Avenue View’, all puns intended, with a driving bass line and and guitar lick leading up to some smooth soul interludes and completing another fine EP from Thylacinus.

Thylacinus is the alias of Tom Conrad who is currently better known within the realms of house music, however with his early influences of funk, jazz, soul and 80s hip hop it was inevitable he’d take this path at some point. Look out for more singles and an album from Thylacinus over the next few months along with music alongside his friend and top artist Da Funksta (The Old Skool the New Class).

Adaptation Music’s exclusivity of Tom Conrad’s original work continues with another great deep house two tracker entitled ‘Contrast EP’.

The opening track ‘Dreamcatcher’ is a warm, solid deep house track with elements of early Detroit in the chords and the retro sound of Chicago in the bassline. The second track also has an early Chicago era feel to it with another huge bassline alongside the massive acid riff and trippy/haunting lead perfect for any serious late night DJ set, with Tom debuting it at his recent gig in Prague, Czech Republic. Both are serious club friendly tracks and sure to be very popular with deep/tech DJs across the scene.
