Adaptation Music introduces the first single from Caliorange, the alias of Tom Conrad (UK) and Matt Correa (Spain), ‘Acquiescence’ backed up by three top remixes.

First up is Norwegian based producer Ivaylo, fresh from the release of his latest album with a fantastic deep and tribal remix akin to the early days of deep house. Next up is London based producer Finest Wear, returning after his remix on Adaptation #100 who turns in a great old school house rework showcasing once again why he’s one of the most consistent producers within the deep house scene. Sandwiched inbetween the remixes sits the original version which is deep, dreamy and hypnotic track, also with an old school feel. Last but not least is a top remix from US west coast producer Rithma, who delivers his unique fusion sound to the label for the first time and completes an all round solid first release for Caliorange.

Caliorange was formed in 2020 by Tom Conrad and Matt Correa, with remixes already released on Mindloop Music and Bosh Recordings and their first EP signed to a top US label. There will be much more on the way from the duo over the coming months.

Adaptation Music welcomes another new artist to the label in the form of South Africa’s Raheem Madee with the deep old school house inspired ‘New Dawn EP’ which includes a superb remix by Smitty & Davenport (Mindloop Music, US).

Opening up the EP is the brilliant ‘Silent Prayer’, with infectious deep atmospheric chords and a bassline reminiscent of classic 1980s Chicago house. If you like old school, this one is for you! next up is a remix of ‘Silent Prayer’ from US west coast duo Smitty & Davenport. Producing for over two decades now, this remix oozes quality and has the classic west coast feel packed with melodies and atmospheric sounds. Also 80s influenced is the final track ‘Black Milk’ which is deep atmospheric house meets deep techno, completing a solid release for fans of the old school.

Adaptation Music welcomes Vinyl Dealer to the label for the first time with the brilliant deep house four tracker entitled ‘Groove Matters EP’.

Opening the EP is the brilliant ‘We Wanna Groove’ which has old school Detroit written all over it. Old school chord stabs, cool vocal snippets and tidy synth work all contribute to making this a hypnotic Kerri Chandler-esque main room affair. Keeping on the old school tip but with a deeper feel is ‘We Are Black’ with lush sweeping chords and a cool bassline. For the next track, Vinyl Dealer teams up with fellow producer Sware for ‘Our Groove’ which also has very nice sweeping chords but with an injection of funk in amongst the beautiful harmonies. Last but by no means least in ‘Lost in Translation’ which is a very reflective track with captivating and emotional Chicago style jazzy keys, completing a fantastic four track EP!

Adaptation Music is proud to team up with the super talented Dubman F. for the 103rd release on the label with the brilliant deep tech single ‘Set You Free’.

First up is the Warehouse Mix which is a driving peak time deep tech stomper which will surely be popular with fans of the Harry Romero & Joeski sound, with tough beats, rumbling bassline, latin percussion and cool vocal snippets. The original mix is a slightly different affair, starting off with a long intro with a minimal house feel which builds into hypnotic deepness laden with cool sounds and effects, which make it ideal as an intro for any discerning deep/tech/minimal set.

Spanish producer Dubman F. has been a consistent and quality producer over the last few years in the underground deep tech and minimal house scene working with labels such as Nervous, King Street, Nite Grooves, Soulfuric Deep, Little Helpers and various others and being supported by the likes of Sandy Rivera, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Jamie Jones and more.

With influences of 90’s r&b and classic funk and soul, the superb jackin vibe of ‘Embracement’ is also sure to be popular with fans of the original Joey Youngman sound, which is synonymous with all things Jackin House. It’s fair to say that ‘Embracement’ is an infectious warm funky jackin track tailor made for the summer.

Adaptation Music welcomes Yan Gordo back for the 101st release on the label following on from the well supported summer track ‘L’heure Bleue’ a couple of months back and the huge remix of his track ‘Take It Easy’ for release number 100.

The opening track ‘Seasons’ is a lush summer vibe with warm chords and atmospheric synth stabs, it’s still deep house but maybe you could call it ‘beach house’ as that’s where the track takes you. The second track comprises of three mixes and taked on a deeper approach, with a vocal mix, a live bass mix for the Soulful House fans and the original mix which is basically an instrumental.

Hailing from the same surrounds as the likes of Agoria, Manoo, Rocco & Klement Bonelli, Yan first started releasing house music in 2011 and his music has been regularly supported by none other than Mark Farina, Phil Weeks, Hector Romero, Jason Hodges, Demuir, Angelo Ferreri amongst others.
