The 163rd release on the label has been on the cards for a very long while now and finally sees the light of day, with Tom Conrad’s ‘What Can We Do About It’, which is a follow on from his classic track ‘Sign Of The Times’.

With a very important vocal message regarding today’s world and society, ‘What Can We Do About It’ comprises two very different versions; the Original Mix is a beautiful deep atmospheric and soulful musical journey accompanied by the meaningful vocal, whilst the ‘Garage Vibe’ is one for the peak time late night dancefloor with seriously deep and funky sub bass, catchy stabs, acid twists and deep synth interludes. The identity of the vocalist is a mystery, or is it?

Release number 162 is a fusion of deep house and garage from Tom Conrad under his Caliorange alias, entitled ‘The Ends’.

Inspired by the early days of deep house and garage, ‘The Ends’ is a blended journey of sounds encompassing both sides of the Atlantic from London to Detroit to Miami and more. A funky and bumpy bassline accompanied by infectious vocal stabs lead into some real deep dreamy atmospheric chords before the track goes into a funky latin-esque section, a real lush breakdown then more of the same.

This beauty of a track is one for the old school deep house and garage connoisseurs out there!

The 161st release on Adaptation Music comes from label regulars Truth Committee, yet again showcasing their versatile sound and style within the realms of disco, funk and soul.

The aptly titled ‘Brooklyn Funk’ is a massively funky and infectious groove, hugely influenced by the likes of George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic. Funky guitar riffs, live bass, vocoder, jazzy key solos and more combine to create an uplifting party vibe and transport you back in time to the late 70s and early 80s.

The 160th release on Adaptation Music is a huge uplifting vocal disco house track from label favourites Truth Committee alongside the superb vocal talents of Carla Prather.

Truth Committee and Carla Prather combine and pull out all the stops with “Everything”, creating a beautiful fusion of uplifting big room vocal house and disco. A catchy sing-along vocal from Chicago’s finest Carla Prather sits atop a funky live bass, warm keys and strings to kick off a strong start to 2025 for all involved. Music lovers will no doubt be familiar with the lyrics, as they are a cover of what was originally a male vocal and hit track from the mid 70s.

Adaptation’s 158th release is the fifth EP on the label from Caliorange, this one being entitled ‘Diversion EP’ and follows on from the success of their last single ‘Flying’.

Two fine cuts of garage and deep house, ‘Diversion EP’ starts off with ‘Tell Me Not To’, which is a deep and driving affair with an infectious 90s bassline, sweeping atmospheric chords which change throughout and a catchy vocal with a poignant message. The next track ‘Alternate Route’ is a deep, moody and atmospheric journey with hints of classic old school Detroit vibes and one for any discerning deep house head out there.
