Adaptation Music welcomes back Tom Conrad for the 112th release on the label with the late 90’s inspired filtered house track ‘Summer Heat’ following on from the successful ‘Sativa Sundae’ a few releases prior.

Tom’s says his inspiration behind the aptly titled ‘Summer Heat’ was to create something akin to the late 90s and early 00s French filtered house such as tracks like Junior Jack ‘My Feeling’ (we know Roule will come to mind for French filtered house but that was not the aim here) and the summer Ibiza scene back then. He hopes he has recreated even just a hint of that nostalgic era and its happier times.

Adaptation Music welcomes Yan Gordo back for the 111th release on the label with ‘Le Plaisir Pour Le Plaisir EP’ following on from his Perspectives compilation and several previous projects on the label including ‘Ombre Et Lumiere EP’, ‘Bangobam’, ‘Take It Easy’, ‘Ready’ and ‘Calmos’. Early support on the release from Mike Millrain, Jeremy Sylvester, Booker T, Jellybean Benitez, Anthony Pappa, Satoshi Fumi, Todd Gardner, Finest Wear, Vinny Da Vinci and more.

Hailing from the same surrounds as the likes of Agoria, Manoo, Rocco & Klement Bonelli, Yan first started releasing house music in 2011 and his music has been regularly supported by the likes of Mark Farina, Phil Weeks, Hector Romero, Jason Hodges, Demuir and Angelo Ferreri amongst others.

Adaptation Music welcomes back South Africa’s Raheem Madee with another fine deep old school house EP entitled ‘After Dark EP’ which includes two great remixes by Orlando B.

Raheem Madee continues where he left off from his last release on Adaptation Music, ‘New Dawn EP’, with two lush ethereal old school deep house tracks in the form of ‘Dark Matter’ and ‘Ghost On Meth’ which combine to make ‘After Dark EP’. First track ‘Dark Matter’ is anything but dark, with a classic old school bassline accompanied by lush keys and pads creating a very reflective and captivating vibe – and what a track it is! Completing the EP is ‘Ghost On Meth’, which is deep and atmospheric and sure to be popular with the true deep house heads.

Scottish producer Orlando B brings his Glasgow vs Detroit sound to the label, a sound synonymous with the mighty Soma Recordings and Glasgow Underground, by remixing both of the tracks on the EP. His remix of ‘Dark Matter which opens the EP takes you straight back to 1991, nothing quite defines the term ‘classic old school house’ as this, it’s beautiful stuff! More Detroit themes ensue on Orlando’s remix of ‘Ghost On Meth’ with sweeping chords, lush keys and an overall hypnotic and atmospheric feel.

Cosmic Elements’ 15th release is a big one, a summery balearic lounge/chill EP from Tom Conrad alongside the brilliant Andy Compton (The Rurals) with ‘Textures EP’.

First up is the lush fusion of summery sounds that make up ‘Okinawa’, an ode the beauty of Okinawa prefecture Japan. Andy Compton (The Rurals) is on lead guitar here as he is on the next track ‘Phoenix’, a broken beat, balearic soulful jam with jazzy guitar and a smooth funky bassline. For the closing track, Tom decided to make a track that would fit with observing stars in the night sky and believe it or not, it’s called ‘Stargazer’. Soft arpeggiated rhythms, smooth pads, uplifting keys and ethereal but subtle bell sounds (to represent glowing) are the order of the day, so you tell us – is it a star gazing record?

Adaptation’s 110th release sees Tom Conrad back this time with a jazzy jackin Chicago house track entitled ‘Sativa Sundae’. Early support from DJ Spen, Mr V, Lars Behrenroth, Vinny Da Vinci, Bertrand Dupart, Andy Compton, Chemars and more.

If you’re a fan of funk, jazz and house, then the fusion that is ‘Sativa Sundae’ may be for you. Tom made this as a tribute to some of the best jazz keys players that have ever graced this planet in the 50s, 60s and 70s in the U.S, who got some of their inspiration for jamming and live performances from that thing we also refer to as sativa. From an intro of deep soulful rhodes piano to a funky live bassline, the track turns into a jazzy rhodes fest that you can’t help but move to. One for the Chicago House heads.

The opening track ‘Angels From Above’ is an atmospheric beauty with sweeping chords, soft vocal and fully encapsulates that classic old school house sound. Next up is ‘Another Day’ which takes you right back to 90s Detroit, hypnotised in the corner of a dark dancefloor at 3am. On an even deeper note, the captivating piano stabs of ‘Feel Good’ complete a fantastic EP that is sure to be a hit with any deep house lover.

London based Finest Wear is well known for his classic and consistent deep house sound which has been supported by the likes of Jimpster, Todd Edwards, Laurent Garnier, Jody Wisternoff (Way Out West) and more and has seen him become a mainstay for renowned labels such as Large Music and Nordic Trax.
